AMEN, I said this 30 years ago when I become a mother and the other mothers around me shrunk in horror that I would say outloud I needed to take care of me first. Little did they realize, that was the best Mother I could be so I can giving from a place of abundance on all levels.

I think there’s so much more to this, Lisa. I fear jumping into gender issues so I’ll just say that I believe too many options have caused too much stress for men and women. Simpler times made for simpler lives. Thinking we can “Have it all” is a damper to happiness without a doubt!

Lisa,
Your message applies to both men and women. However, I do believe the causes may be different. I’m in awe by the women in my life who juggle being Mom, wife/partner, boss/employee, student with little to no time for being an individual.

Flaming out is not good. Good that you remind women (us) to pay attention to our oil levels.
